0What is Bond (Affinity) in Uma Musume?
In Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, the Bond Gauge (often called Affinity) represents your relationship with Support Cards. It is visualized as a small gauge next to the support character's icon during training mode.
Raising this gauge is critical because:
- Orange Range (80+): When the gauge turns orange (fills up to 80), you unlock "Rainbow Training" (Friendship Training). This significantly boosts stats gained.
- Max Bond (100): Maximizing bond ensures you get the most out of every interaction, though the critical threshold is usually 80.
How to Increase Bond Fast?
There are several ways to raise your affinity with support cards:
- Training Together: Select training facilities where the support characters are present. (Avg +7 Bond).
- Random Events: Many support card events give +5 or +10 Bond.
- "!", "?" or Hint Events: Clicking on a character with a red "!" often grants skills and bond.
- Items (in some scenarios): Using items like BBQ sets can boost bond for the whole team.
